Ever since I started the strip, my thought had been for the backgrounds to be soft and blurry on purpose so they would not distract from the foreground characters. The difference in style between the background and the characters kinda make me read those separately and my eyes bounced between them. If the lines in the wall can be more solid, making it more in style with the characters, it might be more pleasant to be viewed.
