MZ: I rarely buy comics any more. Since starting The Crown Prince, I've bought a few collections of comic strips to help learn the craft but that's about it for the past several years.

I do have a couple thousand comics around the house, but they mainly date from the 80s and 90s. I also have a few hundred French "bandes dessinées" from my childhood. The last series of comics I bought seriously at all was the French series "Donjon" (now available in English as "Dungeon"). It's an amazing series created by Joann Sfar and Lewis Trondheim that started as a spoof on fantasy comics but has evolved into an incredibly complex (but still hilarious) world where stories are simultaneously told in three different eras ("Dawn", "Zenith" and "Dusk"). I highly recommend them.
