Well, you can see his mouth “clearly” in panel #3 from the behind/side-view… But in any event, “mouthless” works! The question is, if you were to put a mouth on the duke, how would that look with the moustache? Double mouth?
Note: the guard is mouthless as well, and he clearly has no difficulty in speaking…

Aargh! I hope I’m not ruining this for anyone, but for some reason when I look at the Black Duke today, his moustache looks like his mouth…

Andrew: not sure where you “clearly” see his mouth in panel 3… But you make a good point about the guard.
