177 - Prologue
This strip is a bit of an introduction to the next long story arc which features the return of the Black Duke! We haven’t seen him for ages! To be fair, it’s also the return of the Black Guard who pretty much goes wherever the Duke goes.
What can we expect from this storyline? Well, how about dastardly plots, horrifying locations, black magic and perhaps even some hint as to why the Black Duke hates the royal family!? I better be careful not to set expectations too highly. I hope you enjoy it as it starts next week…
P.S. What do you guys think of the new coat of arms? This way, it might not get confused with the Finnish flag any more! (It was actually inspired by one of the shields in an old turn-based fantasy strategy PC game called Warlords (not the Atari game by the same name). Knights Arcana, anyone?)

Oh, man, Warlords was awesome. That was my first exposure to turn-based strategy, and I played the hell out of it. Never got any better at it, mind you…

The Black Duke was the fifth Beatle and the cover of “Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band” proves it.

I think that the “chancellor” should go back to the wizard hat… it suited him better.
