160 - Do The Time Warp
Finally we get to the arrival of the Crown Prince’s younger sibling. For those of you following closely, there was some foreshadowing right about here.
The line about the jetpack is a reference to The West Wing where Chief of Staff Leo McGarry expressed some dissatisfaction about the future and quipped: “My generation never got the future it was promised… Thirty-five years later, cars, air travel is exactly the same. We don’t even have the Concorde anymore. Technology stopped. (…) Where’s my jet pack, my colonies on the Moon?”

The pink on today’s cheeks is not so garish. Cute kid! Can’t wait to see what his sister looks like…hope we don’t have long to wait!

It’s unanimous: 100% of commenters on this comic strip agree that the CP is a “Cute kid”!
For once, Jill, I believe the comic strip will move faster than real time. While the Queen is about six months pregnant, I can pretty much promise that you won’t have to wait three more months for the arrival of the Princess. (There! I revealed her name, even if it probably isn’t much of a surprise…)

The characters are only very loosely based on real people (I am not, in fact, a true King). More like “inspired by” real people. The names have been changed to protect the innocent. Plus, sharing the real names would only perpetuate the myth that everything in this strip is inspired by actual facts. (Once again: I am not a true King.)
